5 More Harry Potter Spin-Offs Potterheads Want To See

1. The Marauders' TV Series

The Marauders Ask any Potter fan who Messrs Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs are and they should swiftly answer with "The Marauders". The Marauders, consisting of James Potter, Sirius Black, Remus Lupin and Peter Pettigrew were the forerunners to Fred and George Weasley, the jokesters of their day who pioneered the secret corridors of the Hogwarts castle, playing several pranks on their classmates and general adventuring during Full Moon cycles, due to Lupin's condition as a Werewolf. To many Potter fans, the Marauders are their favourite characters in the series, and despite their prominence to Harry's backstory, all of them died without getting full exposure. James Potter, aka Prongs, was the first to die protecting his family from Lord Voldermort barely features in the main book series apart from sporadic appearances. Sirius Black, aka Padfoot, is introduced in the Prisoner of Azkaban before being removed far too early at the hands of Bellatrix Lestrance. Peter Pettigrew, aka Wormtail, was the traitor of the group, selling out James Potter to Lord Voldermort before taking his own life. Remus Lupin, aka Moony, was also introduced in Harry's third year as the Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher before dying in battle alongside his wife Tonks soon after the birth of their child Teddy Lupin. The adventures of the Marauders is only briefly described during the book series but from the little hinted information, and the single prequel story of James and Sirius' encounter with Death Eaters and Muggle policemen, reveals that they make a hell of a story line. Unlike the main narrative of the Harry Potter story line the Marauders tails could be fit into a TV series better than a singular movie line as they wouldn't have the same resolute end to the school year as Harry. Each episode of the Marauders' television show would involve some of the tell tale hi-jinks or adventures that the Marauders got up to, and it would also be fascinating to see how James wooed Lily Potter, nee Evans, in the end despite thinking him to be an "arrogant toe rag".
