4. "We've got company!"
Guilty Movies: Finding Nemo, Leon, Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Tron, Shrek, Hellboy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aBvMagrR7ZA When's it used? "We've got company!" is like the definitive half-arsed war cry. Although it's ultimately a declaration that leads into a battle or a chase sequence of some kind, it's usually always said with a hint of humour that means the resulting consequences won't prove fatal to any of the main characters. Instead, it'll prove itself as a showcase of badass character skills or an exciting set-piece that the characters scrape through. "We've got company!" usually comes from the mouth of the movie's "cooler" character. The one that has been in battles before, and can, you know, handle things. These days, this stock phrase sounds relatively normal because it's the generic line of dialogue pre-empting a fight of some kind, but if you actually yelled this out in real life people would think you'd been locked in a cinema for thirty years. In a real situation, if you're about to be attacked, you'd absolutely hate the guy shouting "We've got company!" as if your life was something to be trivialised. It's times like these that "Oh, Jesus, they're gonna kill us!" makes much more sense. Accompanied with somebody urinating on themselves. Example?A group of ragtag rebels are sheltered inside a bunker below ground. One rebel peers out of a hole and onto the desolate road outside.Rebel 1: How's this for a goddamn rebellion? Trapped in a bunker like some stinkin' cockroaches! Rebel 2: Keep cool. The uprising is coming, Ramirez. And when it does... we'll show 'em all. You'll see. Rebel 1: I've been waiting all my life to fight against the government. They killed my parents. They killed everyone I knew. I've only ever wanted to get my revenge. Rebel 3: It's almost time for you to do that. There's a sudden rumble outside as tanks and soldiers begin to make their way towards the bunker. One of the rebels grabs his rifle and peers outside again. Then he turns, his face filled with fear and anxiety and excitement.Rebel 3: We've got company!
