2. The Sandlot This movie pretty much sums up childhood in a nutshell. It's everything I ever envisioned as a child. Hanging out with friends, having no worries, tree houses, playing baseball during the Summer days, and having a wild imagination. It is so much MORE than that while being JUST that. This makes no sense when read, but when understood it makes perfect sense. That simple childhood Summer lifestyle means EVERYTHING. The greatest memories of your life are made. A friend you enjoyed one Summer with is somehow supplanted in your memory as a lifelong best friend even when looking back on it 20 years later. Friends will fade in and out, memories will be made and forgotten, and time will come and go quicker than one can imagine. Before you know it you're 26 dreaming up ways to squeeze out every ounce of young fun that can possibly be had. I was 6 when this movie came out and I'm so thankful that a perfect blueprint was laid out there for my friends and I as children. Not to mention all of the sweet quotes that I still use on the reg.
