1. Ratatouille (Without Remy)
Initial thoughts: naming a film "Ratatouille" without having an actual rat as your main character would be a rather odd decision, even if the dish does "save the day" at the end of the film. Then again, the chances of said dish ever "saving the day" without Remy in the film is slim to none. Without Remy, Linguini is nothing; that is shown when he flounders at the start of the final service at Gusteau's, after turning his back on the "little chef". So, what would become of the characters without Remy? Linguini would never find out that he is Gusteau's son, which means control of the restaurant and brand would remain with Skinner. He would no doubt continue to peddle the horribly tasteless advertising promotions for his ready meals, slowly running the chef's legacy in to the ground. The restaurant would continue to suffer and no doubt close, with Linguini likely remaining as the busboy at best and never falling in love with Colette and having those feelings reciprocated. In other words: complete and utter misery for everyone. Sometimes a filthy rat is for the best.
