5. The Evolution Of The Xenomorph
The Xenomorph is the best movie monster ever conceived. It is an enigmatic beast that cares only about killing and reproducing which, in turn, kills the host of its doomed child. The monster can take on many different forms since it mimics its host's appearance and is always evolving. Just for added terror it has acid for blood and two mouths to further kill you with. The greatest thing about the Xenomorph is that it works as a symbolic addition to the narrative just as well as a monster. What made it so great in the first Alien film was the mystery surrounding it. You never knew what form it would take next or where it came from. If Ridley Scott returns to the franchise to do a prequel he will further add to the evolution of the creature by exploring its origins and hopefully showing more forms that it can take. Just imagine how amazing the film would be if a crew if space truckers somehow wound up on the Xenomorph home planet.
