3. Coherent Plot
The plot of Alien is airtight. The script doesn't allow for any breathing room for the audience to even notice if there were major plot holes or not. Aliens was also very efficient with its storytelling but was also a little too over the top. Alien3 was ok but had way too many moments that didn't make sense and Alien: Resurrection's script was a travesty so the less said about it the best. My point here is we need an Alien movie that returns to the simple, efficient and coherent narrative where the first film excelled remarkably. If Ridley Scott is making the movie we can be sure that the script will be fast and tightly paced with no lingering plot holes or exaggerated situations. Also, he will bring a return to simple and believable characters that act like real people instead of soulless devices just created to further the plot.
