godzilla2 For over four decades, the King of the Monsters has stomped his way into our hearts and our culture. Godzilla has represented so many different things to people but there has been a consensus: low budgets, rubber suits, and crazy monsters. In the beginning, Godzilla was a representation of the nuclear age and that man was foolish to mess with forces like the atomic bomb. As the movies progressed, he became a defender of the very planet he was destroying. From villain to hero and back to villain again, Godzilla has been all over the map and has fought some of the most memorable monsters ever: Rodan, Mothra, his mechanical double, Mecha-Godzilla, and the destroyer of worlds, the three-headed terror, King Ghidorah. Now Tristar Pictures has bought the rights to make an American Godzilla film set to be released on May 20, 1998. What can we expect from this new version of such a legendary character?
