3. You'll Get A Different Experience Riding Either Day Or Night
Depending on whether you ride during the day time or in the evening, TRON Lightcycle/Run will have a different feel.
Thanks to 1200 light fixtures across the canopy the ride will take on a different atmosphere as the sun sets and the canopy lights up. The 1000's of lights that make up the canopy will glow and change.
Though much of the ride will take place in a hidden building, the canopy section allows guests in Magic Kingdom to get a glimpse of the Lightcycle's speeding along before they ride.
The canopy area of the ride will actually be the "Upload Conduit to the Grid" according to Disney Imagineering's Instagram. Here, the "Users" aka guests, will begin their race against team orange.
With the new attraction opening soon, guests at the Magic Kingdom have already begun to see some of the lighting being tested. It'll be exciting to see how it adds to the new coaster's experience.
