5 Reasons Why Batman Should be the "Nick Fury" of the Justice League Film

1. A Reintroduction Without a Reboot

Does anyone really want to sit through another origin reboot at this point? I've grown very weary of origin stories as a whole, but I'm even less fond of ones that not only do we already know, but already have a good film version of that's from sometime in the past decade. Batman doesn't need another movie detailing his origin, and audiences certainly don't need to sit through another movie detailing said origin. Sony found out the hard way that simply rehashing the first Spider-man film with more punk and less color isn't the best way to reignite a franchise. Another origin story for the caped crusader won't do anyone any favors. We know who Batman is and why he does what he does - no, what WB needs to do is reintroduce the NEW version of Batman. How? Make him the Nick Fury of the franchise. Insert him in smaller roles in the Superman, Flash, and Wonder Woman films - the audience can get used to a new actor, a new costume, and a different context for the character than Nolan's more grounded approach. Then audiences already have a sense of this new Batman going into the Justice League movie, and his solo film can follow without having the weight of repetition dragging it down. So there it is. Warner Bros. has many challenges ahead of them, both in how to assemble (sorry, couldn't help it) their Justice League project and in how to immediately follow Nolan's critically-acclaimed and wildly successful films. This right here is an easy fix for both.
