4. What Was With Those Fight Scenes?
Every hand to hand combat scene in this film was poorly edited; each scene felt slow and poorly filmed. Watching them was an awkward experience, to the point where I expected to notice stunt doubles and boom mics. The thing about the original film was that those scenes were BRUTAL. Their execution was spot-on, damaging, and even jaw-dropping at some points. This was also true for the scenes involving close range gun battles: also brutal, tactical, and vicious. These were elements all lacking in the sequel. The fight scenes and firing exchanges were sloppy at best, almost even lazy and lacking. Such a disappointment when expectations for repeat aggression and destruction were so very high.
