5 Reasons Why The Conjuring Is The Best Possession Film In Years

1. Tension

the_conjuring_38633 Everything I have just talked about transforms what is granted mostly standard into nail biting suspense. Little aspects such as the musical box tune can unnerve viewers with the music overall being on point throughout every terror sequence. Watching an exorcism for characters you don€™t care about can feel like a grind. Watching a spirit fire off a shotgun during an exorcism of a Mother you genuinely care about is intense. The aforementioned floor sliding scene ending in relief when Loraine cuts the daughters hair (from where she€™s being dragged) is one of the most stylistically suspenseful horror scenes in recent memory. It also probably goes without mentioning but that exorcism sequence is relentlessly intense. There is so much going on simultaneously (birds attacking the car with one daughter, minor police characters desperately trying to break through the floor to rescue another daughter) alongside the actual exorcism that it is almost too much to handle. It isn€™t though; it is a perfectly crafted sequence. Agree or disagree? Let us know in the comments!
