5 Reasons Why You Must See Elysium

3. Technology

Elysium Considering Elysium is a science fiction blockbuster backed by $100 million it€™s no surprise that the film boasts impressive sets and special effects. One of the more crucial aspects to nail is that contrast between depicting Earth as a disgusting slum and Elysium as a beautiful resort for the fortunate. This is furthered by selective color palettes presenting the slums of Earth as very drab and brown while Elysium is bright and colorful with some conveniently perfect weather. Elysium boasts a plethora of extended action sequences however so another key ingredient to mix into the recipe is its weaponry and gadgets. The exoskeleton that Matt Damon is suited with is awesome even if the attachment process was graphic and most likely painful. Matt Damon is essentially a walking tank of destruction although he isn€™t too powerful as his vital areas are still exposed. The various sticky grenades and weapon models were also stylish and escalated the mood into a realized futuristic setting. Every time someone explodes into chunks of meat you cannot help but want to clap right then and there. There€™s also your atypical flight craft which is not anything amazing but it all adds to the package of an impressive and creatively driven futuristic alternate reality.
