5. Shaun Of The Dead
Ok, honest and respectable is one thing, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun. It might contain more than it's fair share of zombies, but the first entry in Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg's "Blood and Ice Cream" trilogy is no less a RomCom for it. In fact it's more, a RomZomCom as they themselves describe it. Our hapless hero Shaun sets out to do everything a male lead in a RomCom is expected to (ie, sort out his life and save his relationship), it just so happens that the undead become an additional obstacle to achieving his goal. In between the carnage, bites and stray shells, the fate of Shaun and Liz's relationship is as much a concern to everyone watching (by this point, the higher side of 50%) as their survival. Well, you don't want to die single do you?
