5 Simple Ways Ben Affleck Can Find Success As Batman

1. Understand The Follies Of Daredevil (And Do Not Repeat Them)

Daredevil It's too hard to ignore, mainly because it's probably most people's biggest reason for beginning petitions and screaming bloody murder from the rooftops about this Ben Affleck Batman thing in the first place. Daredevil was essentially Ben Affleck in a suit, pretending to be blind. Millions of fans refuse to see the same treatment given to the most beloved hero in the DC Universe. For Ben to be successful in the role, he needs to give his attention to Bruce's character in a way he never did to Matthew Murdock. Lose the Boston pride, forget the tall, dark and handsome shtick (maybe not the dark part) and understand you're facing a much larger challenge than Cavill is: undoing a previously botched portrayal and establishing an implied backstory to the caped crusader, all in a movie where you have to share focus with (at least) one other larger-than-life character. Does Ben Affleck have the acting chops to play Batman? Without a doubt. Will he have the supporting cast and artistic vision to help him succeed where Daredevil failed? Absolutely. The devil will be in the details. If he's hearing the boos loud and clear before he's even dawned his bat-cape, he should remember the words of the late Harvey Dent: the night is always darkest before the dawn. Best of luck, Ben Affleck. Agree or disagree? Let us know in the comments section below.
