2. Hellboy 3
Poor Guillermo del Toro. Everyone loves the guy, he makes incredible movies, and yet has a phenomenally hard time with getting his film projects off the ground. Though he's beloved by geeks everywhere, his films haven't been inherently successful financially, which leads us to the dilemma with Hellboy 3. Hellboy II: The Golden Army grossed $160 million when it hit theaters in 2008, and was overshadowed by the more mainstream-friendly films Iron Man and The Dark Knight. Despite making more money than the first film, and receiving a warmer reaction from critics, it appears that a third installment is never going to happen. Del Toro wants to make it, Ron Perlman wants to star in it, and the fans are demanding that it happen, but the studio just won't greenlight another one. Del Toro has been very vocal about this, claiming that he would need "the world's biggest Kickstarter campaign" to get it made.
