4. Highlander 6: The Source (2007)
Honestly. Six. Everyone remembers the original 1986 Highlander dont they? Of course they do. A sufficiently entertaining sword-and-sorcery romp set in what was then present-day New York redeemed by a pounding Queen soundtrack and featuring the most astonishing casting of Frenchman Christopher Lambert as a Scotsman and Scotsman Sean Connery as a Spaniard. It was bonkers. In a good way. The first sequel squandered its fan-base by discarding the whole Celtic-mythology thing that made it vaguely original and revealed that the protagonists were actually from outer space and didnt know it. The world lost interest. And yet Highlander The Source still exists. It premiered on the Sci-Fi channel which is all anyone needs to know, and featured none of the original cast although lonely insomniacs will recognize Adrian Paul from the spin-off television series.
