4. Paparazzi
Paparazzi came and went rather quickly. The movie scored 18% on Rotten Tomatoes and seems more and more to come from a dark and sick place when you consider it was produced by Mel Gibson. The movie was basically a revenge fantasy for celebrities everywhere. While there's nothing wrong with that, there just wasn't much more to the movie. It was about killing extreme paparazzi and most characters seemed to be written in a screenwriting 101 class. The one character that was absurdly likable was our "hero" Bo Laramie portrayed by Cole Hauser. He was a modest, Southern boy whose dreams of acting and stardom suddenly come true. He wasn't anything like other actors. He wasn't self absorbed and he was a family man which made him easy to root for. Hell, I was rooting for the guy's non existent career as well. Plus, what other actor do you know that would take matters into his own hands the way Bo did? He had an old school 70s hero vibe going. It was strange to see in the form of an actor, bu still nonetheless entertaining. If only more actual actors were a little more like Bo.
