5 The Joker Spoilers From Batman V Superman & Suicide Squad Trailers

The first official image of Jared Leto was never released in high resolution, and that subsequently left the majority of fans under the assumption that this Joker has a Spring Breakers style grill. 

The Suicide Squad trailer thankfully provides a much better look at the villain's smile, and it's now abundantly clear that those who guessed he has metal teeth because his original ones are broken, were correct. Common sense says that it was The Batman who wrecked The Joker's grin, a moment which could be portrayed in the flashback which sees the Caped Crusader on top of The Joker's car trying to take down him and Harley. 

Before Jared Leto was even cast there were rumours that The Joker in this movie would be scarred from his various encounters with Batman, and it seems like this version of the villain has a fair few of those as well. That trailer also thankfully puts to bed any silly speculation that the tattoos were only included in that first image because of DC's 75th anniversary. They're very real, and will be in the movie! 

Going back to the smile though, and it's interesting to note that Leto has neither the distorted mouth shared by Jack Nicholson and the comic book version of the character or the scars which defined Heath Ledger's take. Even so, the red lips and metal teeth make him far more frightening in appearance than all those Jokers combined.
