5 Theories That Help Explain David Lynch's Mulholland Drive

1. The Hitman Killing His Friend

223 The one scene that many people never seem to not understand or have any idea why it was in Mulholland Drive is the hitman killing his friend, which then leads to killing the overweight women next door and then killing the cleaner. This act seems to have to place no place in Mulholland Drive and it is never mentioned in the story between Betty and Rita. However this scene is actually another totally fantasized creation by Betty. This scene is Betty€™s imagination of the hitman killing Camilla. There any many vitals clues that indicate this theory. The first clue is Rita€™s head injury at the accident. If you have a look at where the hitman shoots his friend it is at the same place where Rita€™s head is bleeding. Another clue is the hitman himself. Later on we see Diane which is Betty meet up with the hitman to kill Camilla which is Rita.
