In 2006 she published a collection of essays entitled I Feel Bad About My Neck: And Other Reflections of Being a Woman. It was a New York Times best seller and spoke to the complicated feelings that one has as a successful woman who still feels the pressure to conform to beauty standards. She told womens stories without demanding recognition because of her gender. She constantly produced engaging and entertaining work that opened up the world to different narratives that became part of pop culture.
