5 Things You Didn't Know About Indiana Jones And The Temple of Doom

3. Ghostbuster at the Airport

I wish I could tell you that Bill Murray was in this film but alas I can not... Instead I can give you the next best thing: Dan Aykroyd! When Indy, Willie, and Short Round race into the airport after the car chase at the start of the film, they are met by a goofy British nerd. This man tells them his name is Weber and that he has secured them some seats on a cargo plane filled with live poultry. It looks almost as if the camera purposely is left out of focus so that the audience can't make out the face of this Weber character. Regardless it is a fact that this guy is really Dan Aykroyd making a weird cameo appearance in the film. The cameo is most likely related to the fact that Aykroyd and Spielberg worked together previously in his film 1941 several years prior to Temple of Doom. Another fun-fact about this scene is that apparently producer Frank Marshall, Spielberg, and Lucas are hidden at the airport as well but are very hard to pick out.
