Warning: Possible spoilers will be discussed in this article. Guillermo Del Toro, director of such awesome films as 'Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy, The Devil's Backbone' and so on. A director known for his fondness towards the weird and the wonderful. Pacific Rim gave him the platform to once again weird us out and look on in wonder. He has always brought that element of surprise or originality to his work. So I was eager to see what he thought could be freshened up about Robots versus Monsters. Did it deliver what we've come to expect from him? Well...Yes and no. While Pacific Rim certainly had its awesome moments, I felt there were some things lacking to make it truly stand out along with Del Toro's previous entries. This article will attempt to pick out how and where the film went astray. Giving key points throughout where improvement could have made it even better. While all may not agree, namely nearly every review on the 'holy' rotten tomatoes site or all the Del Toro fan boys out there. It is my opinion that the film could have been better from such an experienced and acclaimed director. So let's recap Transformers versus Godzilla, ahem I mean Pacific Rim.
