The Movie: In part two of Edgar Wright's Cornetto trilogy, Nicholas Angel (Simon Pegg), a Metropolitan Police officer, is transferred to the unassuming town of Sandford, where he teams up with fellow PC, Danny Butterman (Nick Frost). Together they ponder the town’s lack of criminal activity, whilst uncovering the true nature of Timothy Dalton’s eerie character, Simon Skinner.

The Scene: The film's final climactic gunfight involves Nicholas doing battle against the Neighbourhood Watch Association, which contains mostly gun-wielding elderly members. 

The only time that old people have been more frightening while handling firearms would be on a hunting trip with Dick Cheney. It's completely over-the-top and maniacal, yet brilliant in its originality.
