Crank 2
MGM/Columbia Pictures

After Pierce Brosnan's tenure as 007 came to a disappointing conclusion, Martin Campbell was tasked with rebooting James Bond for a second time, and brought cinema's most iconic spy thundering into the 21st Century with one of the best entries yet in the long-running franchise.

Daniel Craig put any doubts about his suitability for the role to rest before the opening credits, thanks to the bruising black-and-white prologue. As well as delivering a more layered take on Bond than we had become accustomed to, Casino Royale also offers plenty of incredible action, with the free-running sequence easily the standout.
