50 Greatest James Bond Moments Of All Time

27. Moonraker: Skydiving

The Spy Who Loved Me
Eon

Moonraker is arguably one of the worst films in the series, but this opening feels like it came from a franchise classic.

In the pre-credits, Bond is thrown from a plane... without a parachute. He then has to get the pilot's parachute while free-falling through the air, all the while being pursued through the air by Jaws. It's just as exhilarating as it sounds.

This scene is jaw-dropping and gets more thrills into just a few minutes than the rest of the film combined. It's another amazing piece of action film-making that won't fail to leave you speechless and it's ageing very, very well too.

And also, it's got Jaws. Prior to him being ruined later in this same film, he improved any scene he was in.
