50 Greatest James Bond Moments Of All Time

15. On Her Majesty's Secret Service: The Snow Chases

The Spy Who Loved Me
United Artists

This one is cheating a bit, but the snow chases in On Her Majesty's Secret Service are all absolutely extraordinary and it would be criminal to select any one of them over the others.

The first half of OHMSS is very action-light, so the film saves its big thrills for the second half and to say that these moments deliver would be a profound understatement.

These snow chase scenes, which are brilliantly filmed and endlessly suspenseful, are still every bit as heart-racing today and despite the fact that this film is over 50 years old, these set-pieces legitimately trump many of today's action scenes. The final bobsleigh chase featuring Bond and Blofeld is especially good.
