45. Bohemian Rhapsody
It might have taken a rough road to development, but we'll finally get to see the long-awaited Freddie Mercury biopic Bohemian Rhapsody this year, and that's good news not only for Queen fans, but also anyone who values emotional story-telling.
Mercury's personal story is as devastating as it is compelling, and it's been primed for big screen adaptation for years. Which is perhaps why the convoluted development process - which has seen both the star (formerly Sacha Baron Cohen) and the director (Bryan Singer) leave in very different circumstances - hasn't been enough to derail all of the hype.
Alongside new lead Rami Malek - who looks even more like Mercury than Baron Cohen could conceivably have - there's an intriguing cast including Ben Hardy, former Jurassic Park star Joseph Mazzello, Aidan Gillen and Mike Myers of all people. Hopefully, he'll pop up as Wayne Campbell for the most meta of cameos. Probably not though.
