Tom Holland Uncharted

It's always sensible to have low expectations where video game adaptations are concerned, and considering that a movie based on Naughty Dog's Uncharted franchise has been in the works for over a decade, that's doubly true.

As much as many fans are miffed at the film focusing on a younger Nathan Drake (Tom Holland), as well as the dubious casting of Mark Wahlberg as Sully, Uncharted is also one of the more natural fits for the cinematic treatment given that it's effectively Indiana Jones: The Video Game.

The wildly inconsistent Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland, Venom) directs a film that really could go either way, but given the combination of beloved source material and A-list lead, don't be surprised if this ends up the most successful video game movie ever (depending on the state of cinemas over the summer, that is).
