Andrew Dominik's (Killing Them Softly) long-gestating Marilyn Monroe biopic has been in the works for over a decade, and finally went before cameras in late 2019 for Netflix, with Ana de Armas playing the iconic bombshell.
Dominik has proven himself a filmmaker of extraordinary skill and restraint, so there's no reason to believe this won't be another fascinating and unflinching addition to his catchet.
Cuban-born Armas reportedly worked hard with an accent coach to shed her natural dialect, in what could very well be an awards-worthy performance.
The rest of the ensemble includes Adrien Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Julianne Nicholson, and Scoot McNairy.
