6 Animated Movie Poster Clichés We're All Tired Of

1. The Raised Eyebrow

Eyebrow1 This is, by far, the most overused, cliché element present in virtually all animated movie posters. No matter what other cliche elements are present (ensemble cast, running at camera, etc.), the raised eyebrow is almost always present. It is a simple, effective way of giving the characters "attitude," and immediately establishes them as tough, brave, and ready for anything. Eyebrow2 And there you have it! Every now and again we get a unique poster (usually reserved for teaser posters), but more often than not, studios aren't afraid to use the same designs over and over again.
