1. Jesse Eisenberg - Lex Luthor (Batman v Superman)

It is difficult to say anything about Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor that hasn't been said already. Met with scepticism when initially cast, many held out hope that he would not be doing his Zuckerburg shtick that he's become so famous for. The optimists speculated on how he would bring something different, on how his usual goofiness would be a facade for the real mastermind underneath. Trust in Snyder, they said.

Nope, turns out he was hired to do the same thing he always does and be an irritating know-it-all only this time with a slightly sinister edge that never really registers. It's doubtful there are many fans who would deny he would have been much more successful going up against Batman as The Riddler doing the exact same performance. Perhaps there was a typo on the casting call...

Eisenberg is undeniably a talented guy, it's just a shame they didn't match his talent with a better suited role.
