At the start of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the titular hero reveals that he has a "to-do list" that will enable him to somewhat catch up with the goings-on in popular culture in the seventy-plus years since he was frozen in ice during the Second World War. Depending on the country in which you were watching the movie in the cinema, the to-do list was different, having been geared towards specific audiences to make it more relatable to them. For example, in England, audiences would see the 1966 World Cup Final and The Beatles; in America, Steve Jobs/Apple and the Moon landings; in Australia, Skippy the Bush Kangaroo and Steve Irwin; and in Spain, Rafa Nadal and Chupa Chups. While it's not a deleted scene as such, looking up the versions that weren't included in your country is good fun - a very cool and typically Marvel Easter egg. Did you enjoy this article?
