6 Deleted Scenes From 2013 Movies That Would Have Changed Everything

6. Superman Visits A Paediatrician - Man Of Steel

Man Of Steel Uh, yeah, so, believe it it or not, there was genuinely supposed to be a scene in Zack Snyder's Superman movie in which little Kal-El stops by a paediatrician's office - granted, he would have only been a baby at the time, otherwise this would have been really, really weird. This scene, then, according to writer David S. Goyer, was actually shot, but was removed from the final cut because it didn't fit tonally with the rest of the movie. Including it would have changed the movie to a fair degree, given that we never get to see any real interaction with the Kents and baby Supes. David S. Goyer explained the scene as follows: "Jonathan and Martha take a baby Kal to a paediatrician because he's starting to experience these changes. They do a hearing test on him where they're dialling up these sounds and baby Kal screams and it blows out all the windows. It was a funny scene, but after the armageddon on Krypton -- originally we went from that to baby Kal to the fishing trawler - it just felt weird." Nope: it doesn't sound as though going from Superman as a baby in a paediatrician's office to a flaming trawler would've quite gelled. Should It Have Stayed In The Movie? I doubt anybody really cares whether or not this made it into the movie, because it involves a screaming baby, and nobody likes screaming babies. Also: just having one random scene of the Kents and baby Clark would have been sort of weird.
