5. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood - Rick Dalton’s Filmography
Quentin Tarantino really went above and beyond to create a well-rounded backstory for his washed up actor character Rick Dalton.
A whole series of film posters inspired by famous Westerns exist to showcase Dalton’s history. From a knock-off Navajo Joe entitled Nebraska Jim, to probably the most well-known of the works, ‘Bounty Law’, Tarantino covered all bases to bring the character to life.
Throughout the film we see that Dalton collects memorabilia from all his films, including posters and mugs, but eventually also a whole fully functional flame-thrower from The Fourteen Fists of McCluskey.
Tarantino has talked about how much he loved building this backlog of films and shows, even revealing in one interview that he already has five real episodes of Bounty Law written and ready. They are of course set to star Jake Cahill, Rick Dalton’s in-show character, as the main man!
