3. Australia And New Zealand
What is Australia known for? Other than their questionable performances in recent sporting events? (as a Brit, I should point that I'm bound by law to mock Australian defeats, as they do to us). The answer is many things, as the country possesses a vast array of different environments ranging from sprawling urban landscapes to deserts, rainforests and the Great Barrier Reef, which is one of the world's most beautiful locations and would make for a lovely backdrop to a scene involving Bond scuba diving. New Zealand, meanwhile, is Australia's cultural and geographical neighbour. Smaller in scale and population, it too is notable for its environmental diversity (featuring volcanoes and almost half of the worlds cetaceans, amongst other things), whilst it's natural wilderness has been effectively utilised as a filming location by Peter Jackson for his Lord of the Rings and Hobbit trilogies. Despite close ties between both nations and the United Kingdom (like Canada, they were former colonies of the British Empire), the latter's foremost secret agent has never had a reason to visit either, though their uniqueness (particularly for their blend of European, Asian and indigenous (Aborigine, Maori, etc) cultures) should be reason enough for a future visit.
Example Scenario Bond is sent to Sydney to liase with an agent from the Australian Secret Intelligence Service (ASIS) and infiltrate the Australian operations of a business magnate with ties to terrorist organisations.
