5. The Scott Peterson Murder - Demolition Man

45 year old Scott Peterson is currently on death row, having been convicted of murdering his pregnant wife back in 2004. So it's odd, you may think, that his name would show up 11 years earlier in sci-fi action film Demolition Man, starring Sylvester Stallone.

On a roster for a hearing schedule that appears in the film's "CryoPrison" (in which convicted criminals are sentenced to cryogenically frozen prison sentences), the entry "08:15 Peterson, Scott 4-NKT" can be seen in the centre of the screen. Years before the events that made headlines had even taken place, filmmakers had inadvertently put him in a jail cell.

The weirdness goes further, given that the CryoPrison is situated in "San Angeles", California. Where is the real Scott Peterson incarcerated? None other than San Quentin Prison, California. Unfortunately, although Demolition Man somehow managed to predict a horrific murder, it was sadly incapable of predicting its own awfulness.
