6 Reasons Why David Fincher's Spider-Man Movie Would Have Been Awesome

2. Getting to Tell an Actual Story

Looking back at Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, Spider-Man 2 was the more interesting of the first two films. This was because it was able to jump right in to Peter Parker's life as Spider-Man and how he tries to juggle being a superhero while trying to pursue a normal life. The problem people seem to have with The Amazing Spider-Man is that it's essentially retelling the origin story. While there are rumours of the origin story having an added twist related to Peter's parents, there's still the fear the movie will spend too much time with Peter learning how to be Spider-Man- particularly since we've already seen the origin story ten years ago. If Fincher would jump right in to Peter being Spider-Man, that's when an exciting story about being a superher0 can take place.
