American satire Dear White People has been called "a smart, sassy comedy for the Obama age." It centres on college life at a posh university, highlighting the cultural differences and perceived modern-day inequalities that exist within society by drawing attention to the inter-racial behaviour of white people. For example, in one scene a character argues that white people buy Jay-Z tickets because they want to be black, while in another scene they show a black woman trying on a blonde wig. That's called Cultural Appropriation, people. It's got a great cast, too. POTUS from 24, that kid from Everybody Hates Chris, the girl from Veronica Mars, and the woman who played the first African American character on Mad Men, a role that highlighted struggles for both black people and women in the 50s. Dear White People is available from New Year's Eve.
