Netflix has given the next generation of comedians their own show. Eight cult names including Lauren Lapkus, who plays Susan Fischer in OITNB, were allowed 30 minutes to create whatever they felt like, from wild sketch shows to off-the-wall improv routines. The Characters comes with a G rating, which means the topics covered and language used are suitable for a general audience (including your Nan or little cousins). You might think this is at odds with the "no rules" billing, but that angle has more to do with the writers' creative freedom, as apposed to working on a traditional network. Comedy has always been high on the priority list, and Netflix Presents: The Characters shows a real commitment to bringing you, and supporting, the next big names of tomorrow. Check out their first season from March 11th.
