ray19 But, not in any way you're thinking. While in the Army during World War II working for the Special Services Division, making those educational films, his commanding Officer was none other that Colonel Frank Capra, who would go on to be quite famous himself for such films as It's A Wonderful Life, Mr. Smith Goes To Washington, and the five time Oscar winner It Happened One Night. He served the Colonel as a loader, clapper boy, and camera assistant, all while making his own films on the side. This is where he worked with Theodore Geisel, AKA Dr. Seuss, as well as composer Dimitri Tiomkin. Both of which went on to greater successes in far different worlds. Dr. Seuss, of course, went on to become one of the most beloved children's authors, with a few of his books going back to the world of film. Dimitri went on to become "one of the giants of Hollywood movie music", winning 22 Academy Awards and working with Frank Capra many times along the way!

A writer in spirit, a baker by profession. Carl has been a comic shop impresario, comic book illustrator, record store clerk, electronic musician, late night radio DJ, club promoter, graphic designer, and other cool things you wish you could be. He mistakenly had purple dreadlocks once. For three years. Which made him way less cool. He doesn't actually know what the word impresario means, and is way too lazy to Google it. Carl is also an American, and for that he apologizes.
