6 Ways Suicide Squad Trailer Fixes Batman V Superman's Mistakes

4. It's Colourful

As mentioned, Superman is one of the most colourful characters in all of comic bookdom. Yet Zack Snyder has decided to turn his colour palette so far down that Superman€™s traditionally blue threads look grey. It makes no sense; the film can still be dark and gritty as per his intentions without turning the saturation down to almost black and white. Take Suicide Squad, for example. This is a film about €œthe worst of the worst€. Yet, here we are with a trailer that has colour out the wazoo! The characters are so inherently dark - one of them is a killer crocodile-man, after all - that director David Ayer has wisely decided to balance it out with splashes of colour everywhere else. Most of all, Suicide Squad hasn€™t forgotten that it€™s based on a comic book. An art form which originated using four colours and grew into using all of the colours. Don€™t forget the roots of your source material, Snyder.
