Theres not much to hate about Ted 2: it lives up to expectations, raising more laughs than most adult-oriented comedies these days, and it plays like an extended episode of a Seth MacFarlane comedy series. That would have been absolutely fine if MacFarlane hadnt so wilfully stolen from himself too. There are two sperm jokes in the film, and both were lifted directly out of Family Guy. In truth, the whole thing feels like an extended Family Guy episode: an alternate world situation where Peter and Brian are replaced by bizarro versions of themselves (one less cartoonish, one more so) but enjoy the same character dynamics and crack the exact same jokes. And why wouldn't MacFarlane do that? He's been given a blank slate to do whatever the hell he wants with Ted based mostly on the back of Family Guy's success. If his studio aren't quick enough to spot that there's over-lap, why not just push the boat out and lift entire scenes out as "Easter Eggs"? Did you enjoy Ted 2?
