7 Actors to Zap Electro to Life in The Amazing Spider-Man 2

3. James Roday

I'm no huge fan of Psych, but I can't deny Roday's obvious comedic chops. That's something that could really translate well in a role like Electro, and like Aaron Paul, I'd like to see Roday at his most unrestrained. He's got the look for Dillon and could pretty convincingly play both sides of manic and depressive. And I don't see Electro jumping into the third part of this new trilogy, so having him around for one film wouldn't exhaust his presence (as a character like Electro can get very exhausting when overdone). Roday works and deserves a shot. He's already carrying a show on his back (with help from Dule Hill), so tackling this role shouldn't be too much of a challenge.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
