7 Actors Whose Characters Die With Astonishingly Obscene Regularity

6. Gary Busey

l_93409_ecf72e4eConfirmed Deaths:19 With his gravelly voice and looks that are kindest described as 'idiosyncratic', Busey is often cast in roles as policemen/agents or as central antagonists. As goes with the territory, he quite often ends the film in a bodybag, to the extent that I can't watch a Busey film without feeling cheated if he hasn't expired by the end. Busey doesn't encounter a great deal of variety in his death scenes-the vast majority seem to be by gunshot. Still, it's given him plenty of opportunity to practice the old 'jerking marionette' move that actors seem to love to use to portray the effects of gunfire. Falling over like a sack of potatoes may be more realistic, but possibly doesn't play as well on screen. Famous Examples You can catch Busey being shot to pieces in popular 80's mullet-fest Lethal Weapon, cult 90's logic-defying nonsense Point Break and 70's Western sequel The Magnificent Seven Ride! For a bit of variety, check out Busey in his best role in The Buddy Holly Story; rock and roll fans won't be surprised to discover that he succumbs to a plane crash at the end, on the day the music died. Not a firearm in sight. Most Memorable Death Scene Busey was cast as yet another Agent With An Agenda in Predator 2, as the Narc who is using LA cop Danny Glover to track the dreadlocked extra-terrestrial. In a twist on his usual death by gunshot, The Predator offs Busey with one of his brutal ninja death star/serrated disc devices. That's got to hurt.

I am a freelance writer, currently residing in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England. I was raised by wolves in the woodlands of Northumberland, but am still posher than Colin Firth having dinner with The Queen. I write all of my pieces by swallowing a cocktail of scrabble tiles and vodka, then regurgitating them over my jotter. Hope this explains the typos.
