2. Star Wars Revenge of the Sith
Its hard to know which moment to pick from across George Lucas film franchise. Lukes remarkably quick training programme with Yoda? The lackadaisical approach Star Destroyer watchmen have to shooting down randomly ejecting escape pods during a highly important battle? For me though, the biggest baffling moment comes at the end of Episode 3 when Obi-Wan decides that Anakins children must be kept away from him where he can never find them, primarily for their own safety. Where does he decide the safest place to hide Luke will be? On his evil dads home planet with the family. Genius. Obi-wan could take the kid anywhere in the universe. Take him to Admiral Akbars fish-man planet or something! Not back to the first place where an evil overlord with infinite resources at his fingertips would try. Which begs the question.why didnt Vader look for Luke? They didnt even change his surname for Christs sake. If youre Vader, just give your stepbrother Owen a ring, hes not going to screen a call from a dark lord now is he? Owen, its Anakin, be honest, have you got Luke there? Dont lie to me or I will strangle you using only my mind. Thinking about it though, the answer to this whole mess is actually quite simple. George Lucas is really not that good at linking his stories together and didnt really think everything through when he finished his new trilogy. Oh George.
