7 Behind-The-Scenes Additions That Would Make MCU Phase 4 Brilliant

1. Stunt Performers/Actors - "The Raid" Cast

For at least the last five years, three Indonesian performers have been quietly infiltrating mainstream, Western Hollywood ever ever since Gareth Evans' The Raid (sequel especially) blew up as a demonstration of jaw-dropping fight choreography.

Recent films such as Headshot and John Wick 3 have highlighted a relatively unknown and under-appreciated fighting style called Pencak Silat, and broadened movie-goers minds beyond wire-fu and CGI-mixed fight scenes.

An announcement that cast members from The Raid movies in the MCU would send chills of excitement down the spines of anyone familiar with either their work personally, or The Raid films themselves. As practical performers, their discipline and impressive skill as masters of martial arts set them apart from more well-known actors who require stunt doubles when a fight scene arrives.

While they were criminally underused in Star Wars: Force Awakens, their addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as either consultants on Stunt Coordination or even performers themselves would be a well-deserved victory for Iko Uwais, Yayan Ruhian and Cecep Arif Rahman.

Their arrival into Phase Four could also install a new perspective into the MCU and remind audiences that intense superhero fight scenes don't always have to be a cluster of CGI mashups.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
