3. Venom
A Venom movie needs to exist. If not to compensate for the fact that there was barely any Venom of note in Raimi's Spiderman trilogy, then definitely to give us a glimpse of the whole twisted back-story behind the character that was cruelly left out of Spiderman 3, and that, as a result, not many people are aware of. Plus, given the various incarnations of Venom, you could really go spin-off crazy with Carnage and Anti-Venom. There's no point going in to too much detail as the Spiderman reboot is obviously going to feature Venom in some shape or form to appease the furious masses, but... would it be better if it didn't? Hear me out: imagine a really dark, no-heroes-here kind of film that is solely devoted to an anti-heroic Venom and a psychological dive into his tragic and gripping past, with DC unable to top the action. While it's okay for Marvel to analyse Venom's history, it would be close to sacrilege for them to give away too much of their correspondingly popular Joker character. Venom: because if there were a way for Marvel to get the last laugh, it should be a movie about him.
