7 DC Villains That Deserve Animated Films

Catwoman I recently wrote an article about 10 DC characters that deserve their own animated films. The list included such fan favorite characters as Batgirl and Aquaman, as well as a few left-field picks like Booster Gold and Swamp Thing. Now, it's time to change things up a bit and explore the myriad of characters that fall into the impressive rogues galleries at DC comics. Making a film that focuses primarily on a villain is no simple task, and not something that's done very often. As an audience, we need to care about the character on screen, which often means rooting for them to succeed or being invested in the adventure at hand. Though it's certainly not impossible to sympathise with a villain or anti-hero, it's a lot easier for us to root for the good guys. Regardless of where we might stand in terms of supporting a hero's triumph over his nemesis, there are still viable and exciting stories waiting to be told that focus on those out to take over the world, or simply cause a bit of chaos. Though we probably won't be seeing any of these villains get such attention on the big screen, animated films present a lot less risk for studios, so it could be possible. Without further ado, here are seven DC comics villains who could easily be given their own animated feature films...
