With the news that Miltos Yerolemou, famed for his portrayal of Aryas memorable jeri-curled swordmaster Syrio Forel, has been cast in Star Wars Episode VII (joining Thrones alumni Gwendoline Christie) it raises the question what other Game of Thrones actors could suitably make the intergalactic journey from Westeros to a galaxy far, far away? In a way its a pointless question as the answer could easily be all of them Game of Thrones could after all be described as Star Wars on crack but set in Middle Earth, and its sprawling cast, featuring a roll call of venerable British and Irish character actors, are the kind of faces that have populated the saga since its inception. Having said that though it is worth looking at what actors from the show would make a great fit in the Star Wars universe, and if they were to make the jump to hyperspace? What kind of characters might they find themselves playing? The article also takes into account George R. R. Martins itchy sword hand and considers those actors who may find themselves looking for work due to their characters reaching an ignominious end. As you will see from some of the choices though, death isnt the only criteria which can win a one-way ticket to Tatooine.
