7 Irritating Movie Sidekicks You Didn't Realise Were Secretly The Heroes

FF- Lethal Weapon PesciThe Movies... Lethal Weapon 2-3 (1989-1998) "Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay." If you've ever seen a Lethal Weapon movie past the first one, you've probably suffered from a Leo Getz-induced brain haemorrhage at some point in your life. This loud, nebbish, complaining goofball first joins our heroes Riggs and Murtaugh in Lethal Weapon 2, when they're assigned to protect him after he's squealed on some former associates. Lots of shouting ensues. And Yet... Leo does all the off-screen research that allows our heroes to do their jobs properly. Without him, Riggs and Murtaugh wouldn't have had a clue where to find the bad guys in Lethal Weapon 2 or 3. And they would have been totally lost as a result. Where do you start looking for bad guys in a city as huge as Los Angeles without any clues? Enter Leo, whose dealings in the shady underworld allow him to help the pair track down their targets. Think about it: Leo is the only guy who knew where to find the stilted house in Lethal Weapon 2, which ultimately brings Riggs and Murtaugh into the company of the South African diplomat, Arjen Rudd, and he's also the one who knows where Travis, the former policeman and bad guy from Lethal Weapon 3, hangs out in his spare time: at the hockey stadium. Leo even takes a bullet for his pals in the third installment, just 'cause. The character isn't given much to do in the fourth movie, except to argue obnoxiously with Chris Rock, but c'mon, this guy deserves a break after all that awesome detective stuff he pulled in the previous movies. As horrifically grating as Leo's presence often is, without him our heroes would've simply been driving around for weeks on end trying to locate the bad guys.
